OLYMPIC wrestling sisters Kelly and Liz Kay are flying out to Helsinki on Friday after being selected to represent Great Britain.
The talented duo, who are both members of Sharples Wrestling Club, were picked for their country after excellent performances in the British Senior Championships – Kelly winning the gold medal and Liz coming second.
Harper Green High School pupil Kelly made history by becoming the youngest ever competitor in the championships at the age of 15.
She had been given special permission to compete by the British Wrestling Association so they could assess her potential for the 2012 Olympics in London. Kelly and Liz, who is 17, train alongside their 12-year-old brother Ryan at Sharples Wrestling Club under the tutelage of Eddie Kavanagh and Ian Parker.
The sisters will be hoping to impress in Finland after coming second in a tournament in France last year.
