A DRIVER had a lucky escape after a car came off the road and flipped on to its roof.
The car overturned on a stretch of the A675 Belmont Road near the Springs and Dingle reservoirs at around 8.30am yesterday, and ended up in a field.
The 21-year-old woman driver was conscious but dazed, and was taken to hospital for a check up.
Police closed the road in both directions between Church Street and Scout Road.
A witness said: “The car was on its roof and it looked bad.
“There have been a number of accidents on that road and she is very lucky not to have been seriously hurt.”
