WANDERERS ace Gretar Steinsson is to star in an Icelandic documentary about his homeland’s greatest sporting heroes.
A film crew followed Steinsson around Bolton for two days, shooting footage of him relaxing at home, buying a new car and training at the Reebok.
The defender was also filmed taking a break from training with his teammates at a karting session in Manchester.
The documentary also reveals that he plans to renew his wedding vows at home in Iceland next summer.
Steinsson is one of eight sportsmen to feature in the show, along with former Wanderers favourite Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Director Hannes Halldorsson said: “We’re very grateful to Gretar and his wife for being so helpful and letting us film them.”
