A CHARITY is urging older people to get involved with its energy arm to receive help this winter.
Age Concern Energy Services pays out Cold Weather Payments to its gas customers.
It can give a minimum of £10.50, which rises to £21 for the over-80s, and the money is part of a package developed and funded by power company Eon.
The payment is in addition to the Government’s Winter Fuel Payment.
Any Age Concern Energy Services gas customer aged 60 or over may also receive an additional payment, equivalent to three hours’ free use of a gas fire for each day the temperature drops below freezing point between December and February.
To find out more, visit Age Concern Bolton, 72/74 Ashburner Street, Bolton or contact 01204 382411.
