David Van Day is planning to resurrect his career.

The former Dollar singer used his time in the 'I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here!' jungle yesterday to pen a new song about his experiences.

Aided by Timmy Mallett, the blond star practised 'Biff Baff Boff' away from the rest of the camp, having earlier woken Robert Kilroy-Silk as he rehearsed, telling him: "This could be number one, this".

When he later returned to camp and chatted to Simon Webbe and Joe Swash, the ex-'EastEnders' star asked how the track was going and the two were treated to a rendition of David's hit-in-the-making.

He sang: 'Biff Baff Boff, we're celebrities, Biff Baff Boff, we're down on our knees, Biff Baff Boff, you don't have to be on TV to be a celebrity.

Something like that. Um ba ba boom, um bab ba boom yeah yeah oh Biff Baff Boff, and we're down on our knees, Biff Baff Boff, we're swinging through the trees, working through the jungle, da da da do do who is looking at me?

Yeah, yeah oh Biff Baff Boff, we're celebrities.'

Simon was left speechless, while Joe praised his efforts, saying: "That'll be good man. You gonna give us a good blast when you've done it?"

David promised he would, before adding: "That's why we're keeping it under wraps, just in case they pick up on it."

Earlier in the day, David had voiced concerns when Timmy told him he was planning on asking two other stars to accompany him to the bridge before he did his Bushtucler Trial.

The singer feared breaking up their double act would damage their chances of the pair landing their own TV series in the future, telling the former 'Wacaday' star: "Do you think that going without me is wise in the long term? Why do you think that's wise? You never know, look. It wouldn't be so bad if we had a show somewhere. On TV.

"What are you doing? I'm doing that, you know what I mean . . . And there's nobody doing it out there. You've got Ant and Dec but they're all booked and it's a bit more sophisticated what they're doing. They're not slapstick. We're variety. We're all banana skins."

Timmy eventually agreed to have his friend walk to the bridge with him, along with 'Star Trek' star George Takei, as David felt his popularity would help then win over more fans.
