FIREFIGHTERS came to the rescue of a baby girl after her mum accidentally left her keys in the car and it locked.
Baby Mia Connaughton became trapped in the silver Volkswagen Golf in the car park of the Red Bridge Inn in Bury Old Road, Ainsworth.
A crew from Bolton North fire station was called to the car park to help.
Watch commander Jim Bridge said: “Modern cars are very difficult to get into so it was quite complicated to get the keys out. We basically used a very strong magnet to pull the keys towards the door and then used a tool to press the button, which unlocked the car. It took us about 20 minutes.
“Baby Mia was remarkably calm throughout.”
Mia’s mum, Emma Connaughton, said she was very grateful for the firefigthers’ help.
