VETERAN cyclist Frank Kerry has realised his long term ambition by winning the Vita National 3 Distance Championship.
At 73 he is one of Boston oldest sportsmen but finally landed the title after two third-place finishes in recent years.
The competition is for the rider aged above 40 who gets the fastest aggregate time of the year at three distances – 25 miles, 50 miles and 100 miles.
Competitors can ride as many races as they like and race anywhere in the country. Kerry has taken part in 25 races during the year.
