EAGELY-QUINS faced Hindley, and Little Lever met Seddons in the clash of the titans on semi-final day in the BSF Ladies League's Steele Cup.
Hindley were unable to match their usual standard, even with Janet Fitzpatrick dominating the defence, and they allowed Eagley-Quins to put three past them.
Keely Wyatt was named the player of the match in a game which ended 3-1 to Eagley-Quins.
The game between Little Lever and Seddons was evenly matched as the sides went in at half-time level at 1-1.
However, Little Lever got the upper hand in the second half with three more goals to take the match.
Sweet revenge after their defeat at the hands of Seddons in last year’s cup final.
In the Davenport Cup semi-finals, Roydon A were hoping for an easy win against Elton Jags and were noticeably dominant throughout the match.
They did, however, fail to get past the tremendous skills of the Elton goalkeeper Charlotte Smith who won the game for the Elton Jags and was awarded their player of the match which finished 2-1.
In the other semi, Eagley-Tornadoes met the much more experienced team of County Ladies. The final score in this game was 3-0 to County, which did not reflect how well Tornadoes played.
The game produced skilful, fast-paced hockey with set pieces that were beautifully taken and powered home by Nicola Akerman.
