A TEENAGER who hopes to become an architect is drawing up her career plans after winning a study scholarship.
Bolton School pupil Reena Ardenshana, aged 16, pictured, has been awarded £1,800 over two years through the Arkwright Scholarship scheme.
She said: “I am hoping to go onto university in London to study architecture and hope to have a career as an architect.
“I will be spending the money on equipment for school, mainly art materials.”
Some of the money will also go to the school’s design and technology department.
The Arkwright Trust supports young people during their A- Level years.
Reena was one of 240 students in Britain to be awarded a scholarship. She was selected after successfully passing the an aptitude paper and demonstrating flair and originality in solving engineering design problems. She also presenting her GCSE work to a panel of interviewers.
There were more than 700 applicants and 240 were awarded grants.
In order to qualify for the scholarship Reena must study maths at A-level.
