A BOLTON-based charity says more than three quarters of people are worried about the cost of Christmas.
Christians Against Poverty (CAP), which has a branch in The Bridge Church in The Haulgh, commissioned YouGov to survey more than 2,000 UK adults.
Anna Wynn, CAP manager in Bolton, said: “It is no surprise, given the recent economic crisis, that people in Bolton are worried about the cost of Christmas and we are concerned that many still do not budget adequately.
“The good news is that we can offer hope and solution to those caught in debt.
The charity has issued top tips on surviving the festive season on its website and is urging people to use the services of its free debt counselling centres.
