TALENTED young artist Natasha Boyd is hoping her work will help spread the message of peace across the world.
The 11-year-old pupil at Walkden High School designed this poster for a competition organised by the Lions charity organisation.
Her entry was chosen by the Bolton branch of the Lions to represent the area in the international challenge, which will use the children’s posters to promote peace around the world.
Brian Pearson, president of Bolton Lions, said: “Natasha’s design was chosen because it was simple and effective.
“She has two hands shaped into a dove on a background of a globe.”
Now her poster will be submitted to the Lancashire and Cumbria finals. If successful she will go to the national heat and potentially to the international round of the competition.
The winner will receive an all expenses paid trip to the United Nations in New York.
