TWO women have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after they were hit by a car.
A 33-year-old woman and a 37-year-old woman were struck by a car close to the junction with Long Lane and Raikes Road, Darcy Lever, at around 9.20am.
One woman was trapped under the car and one was pinned between the car and a wall.
Firefighters released the women using an air bag.
The women and the 71-year-old male driver of the car have been taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital.
