THE Prime Minister’s pen and a bottle of House of Commons whisky are among the items up for grabs at a charity auction this weekend.
A youth club is holding the event to raise money for its work in the area Zac’s runs a non-alcoholic bar in Market Street, Farnworth, and has also started working in Little Lever recently.
The club’s auction will take place at Powerleague at Leverhulme Park on Saturday at 8pm.
Organisers aim to raise money for the daily running of Zac’s, which is facing growing bills.
More than 20 items have been donated for auction so far.
A bottle of House of Commons malt whisky was given by Bolton South-east MP Dr Brian Iddon. Other gifts include signed photos of Tory leader David Cameron, Houses of Parliament playing cards and a photograph from Lib-Dem leader Nick Clegg.
Other prizes include a family portrait session worth £175, four tickets for a Lancashire Lightning cricket match, two tickets for Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre, a pair of tickets for Bolton Little Theatre and a family ticket for Smithills Open Farm.
There are also Marks and Spencer vouchers, Barton Grange vouchers, hair and beauty treatment offers, a £40 meal voucher for JJ’s restaurant in Egerton and a children’s birthday party, worth £110.
People can still donate items for the auction and are also being urged to attend the event to support Zac’s.
