JOBS in Wolseley-owned plumbing centres in Bolton could be under threat as the company feels the pinch of the global recession.
Wolseley is shedding around 2,300 jobs nationally.
The firm’s stable of companies encompasses The Build Centre in Grecian Crescent, Great Lever, the Plumb Centre in Lecturer’s Close, as well as its separate Parts, Drains, Build and Electrical Centres, also in Bolton.
The firm is holding a consultation period and will announce where the job cuts will fall and which centres face closure afterwards.
