WESTHOUGHTON’S carol service and Christmas lights switch-on will take place at St Bartholomew’s Church in Market Street, on Friday, November 28, at 7pm.
The service will be led by the Rev Gary Lawson, with music from Westhoughton High pupils, as well as Eatock Primary, St Thomas’ Primary and Parochial Primary choirs. The town’s Christmas lights will be switched on by the mayor, Cllr David Chadwick.
Father Christmas will also be making a guest appearance, on the Westhoughton Rotary Club sleigh. Refreshments will be served after the service.
