FOUR people were taken to hospital when two cars collided in Great Lever.
The smash was so bad that firefighters were called to the scene to cut out the driver and passenger of a Renault Clio.
A young male in his 20s and the passenger, a female also in her 20s, were taken to hospital.
The incident happened in Smethurst Lane, off Plodder Lane at around 8.30pm.
The driver and passenger of the other car, a Renault Scenic, were also taken to hospital.
