A BROKEN-down lorry caused rush-hour misery for motorists in Bolton today.
Engine trouble left the heavy goods vehicle stranded in the inside of the A666 heading towards Manchester.
Tailbacks formed from 4.30pm as traffic police and the Highways Agency worked to move it off the road.
Congestion problems in the area were worsened after a crash on the M62 at a similar time involving a lorry and a car.
