BOLTON West MP Ruth Kelly has thrown her support behind a campaign to raise awareness about diabetes.
Diabetes UK, which works for people with the condition, wants to increase the uptake of people getting checked for diabetes.
NHS Bolton already has one of the best records of Primary Care Trusts in the North-west and is now working with Diabetes UK in preparation for a Living With Diabetes Day in February.
The MP said: “I am pleased that NHS Bolton is performing so well in integrating primary and secondary care for diabetes — and that it has been instrumental in sharing best practice. I am glad that the Trust is continuing to work with Diabetes UK to improve services for residents.”
