HISTORIC Bolton Wanderers memorabilia is going under the hammer this afternoon.
A private collector, who wants to remain anonymous, is selling a group of 10 official record books, some dating back to the 19th century, at an auction of sporting memorabilia at Sotheby’s auction house in London.
Among the items in the collection are a register of shareholders dating from 1894 to 1898; two gate receipt books; two directors’ minute books; and five wage record ledgers.
The guide price for the lot, number 1204, is £1,500 to £2,500.
Auctioneer Graham Budd said: “I think for anybody interested in the history of the club it will be a fascinating read.”
