GARY Megson heaped praised on Jussi Jaaskelainen after he inspired Wanderers’ battling 1-0 victory over Hull on Saturday.
The goalkeeper produced five world-class saves to keep the Tigers at bay after Matty Taylor’s 50th-minute winner.
Jaaskelainen’s heroics helped the Bolton boss celebrate his 50th game in charge with a second successive win to take the Reebok club up to 11th in the Premier League table.
But Megson admitted he owed a debt of gratitude to the 33-year-old shot-stopper.
“That’s as good a performance as you will ever see – he was unbelievable,” he said.
“There’s some good goalkeepers throughout the world but we wouldn’t swap him for anyone.
“In 400 games I doubt he’s had one above that standard.
“He looks after himself, on the field and off the field, so he can go on for as long as he wants to as long as injuries permit.”
