CONGESTION charge campaigners have been out in Bolton urging people to vote in favour of the scheme.
Yes campaign chairman Lis Phelan said: “There is no doubt that many commuters understand the need for a massive investment in trains.
“But when we explained proposals for capped bus fares and cheaper fares for people on low income, we really struck a chord.”
In a recent survey by MORI, only one in six people in Bolton were thought to be positive about the proposed charge.
