The countdown to Bolton's vote on the congestion charge has begun.
Leaders of Greater Manchester's 10 councils approved details of the charging scheme and accompanying public transport investment at a meeting today.
The full package of proposals, which includes two peaktime, weekday charging rings around Manchester in return for £3bn investment in trains, buses and trams, will now be put to a public vote on December 11.
Bolton Council's leader, Cllr Cliff Morris, has said he will base the council's vote on the outcome of Bolton's poll.
Seven out of the region's 10 councils need to vote in favour of the proposals for them to be introduced.
