A CAR dealer is appealing for help after vandals damaged five of his vehicles.
Trevor Bennett, of Sharples-based Bryntec Autos Ltd, is offering a £1,000 reward for anyone who gives any information leading to a conviction of the vandals behind the attack.
The cars — an Audi A4, Vauxhall Corsa, Mitsubishi Shogun, Chrysler PT Cruiser and Nissan Almera — were all parked in Sandileigh Drive, Astley Bridge, on Saturday night.
Mr Bennett found the vehicles with deep scratches from the front to the back on Sunday morning. He estimates it will cost £600 to repair each car.
He said: “The cars have been heavily scratched with something like a key or knife. There is no way it is an accident. Someone has targeted them.”
He added: “Times are hard enough at the moment, we don’t need something like this.”
Anyone with information should call 01204 300503 or 07831 109747.
