PLAYTIME is once again lots of fun for the youngsters at a Horwich primary school.
In April yobs broke into Horwich Parish CE School, daubing obscene graffiti on walls and play equipment in a spate of vandal attacks.
In the most serious incident they covered the school’s mural, walls, garden seating and a climbing wall with paint.
The best the school could do was to scrub out the offensive material — until a group of parents came forward to help.
Now thanks to them the play area has not only been cleaned up but transformed with a make-over, with youngsters having a say in its new design.
The work was undertaken by Ian Sharples who is a painter and decorator and also a parent of a child at the school.
