AN ELDERLY woman was knocked to the floor and kicked in the back by robbers who knocked on her door posing as window cleaners.
The attack happened in Bent Lane, Prestwich, at 2pm on Friday, August 29, after the 76-year-old woman opened the door and was confronted by two men.
As she was restrained by one of the robbers, his accomplice ransacked the property and stole the victim’s purse, containing cash and a collection of Israeli coins, before fleeing.
The woman was treated in hospital for bruising to her legs and back.
