JUSSI Jaaskelainen is hoping Wanderers can quickly rediscover the winning touch after the international break.

The keeper will be on duty for Finland next Wednesday when his country kick-off their World Cup qualifying campaign at home to Germany.

But the Finn’s thoughts have already turned to September 13 and the trip to face Fulham at Craven Cottage where, after two games without victory, he thinks the Whites must rediscover the kind of form which saw them swamp Stoke City on the opening day.

Jaaskelainen wants a minimum of 11 points from a tricky-looking next seven games – which includes trips to Manchester United and Tottenham, and the visit of Arsenal.

“The first 10 games are very important for us, and I’d hope we can get 15 or 16 points from them,” he said. “That would be a good start to the season for me.

“Last season went badly because we were bad at the start – we can’t let that happen again so we need to start winning games.”
