Bolton Wyresdale 6 Bolton LC 1 WYRESDALE went on a goal-blitz in a one-sided home victory over Bolton Lads Club.
The visitors had no answer to the extra quality of their local rivals on their return to Lancashire Amateur League’s Premier Division.
Kris Lord and Gary Whiteside enjoyed a profitable day in front of goal with a hat-trick and two goals respectively.
Wyresdale, sponsored this season by Swagelok, conceded a late consolation and also had Ashley Walsh on the scoresheet after his free-kick from the halfway line evaded the goalkeeper and found its way into the back of the net.
Wyresdale Reserves earned a creditable draw at Hesketh Casuals Res, thanks to a Paul Smith goal.
