THE family of a teenager who was murdered a year ago tomorrow are to meet in Farnworth to light candles in his memory.
Andrew Holland, aged 16, was stabbed to death outside Ashys takeaway in Plodder Lane on August 17 last year.
His killer, Mahmood Maksoudian, aged 22, of Madams Wood Road, Little Hulton, was sentenced to a minimum of 19 years in prison in February and Andrew’s mother, Joan Holland, is campaigning for him to be deported when he finishes his sentence.
Tomorrow at 7pm, Mrs Holland will be joined by family and friends as they light candles around the memorial tree planted in memory of Andy in Plodder Lane.
See The Bolton News on Monday for an exclusive interview with Mrs Holland, one year after her son’s killing.
