DARTS stars from around the UK will converge on Bolton when the new season gets under way in October as Halliwell Central Reform Club becomes the base for the Lancashire County Darts Organisation.
The selection of the club as the new Lancashire headquarters is a coup for steward and Lancashire team manager Frank Smith, as the home county matches have been played at Morecambe for the last 15 years.
Lancashire open their campaign with a mouthwatering home match against Cambridgeshire, captained by England star Martin Adams.
In addition, the Lancashire play-offs for the British Open will also be played at the club at a date yet to be arranged.
Meanwhile, Club hosts the Lancashire play-offs for the Winmau World Masters in wich the top three men and women will qualify for the finals to be played either in Essex or Bridlington, Yorkshire.
“It’s a fantastic boost for club,” said Mr Smith. “It is a tribute to the facilities we have and the atmosphere generated during matches. We are very excited about being the home of Lancashire darts.”
