Police have arrested a man for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
The man, aged 42, was driving in Halliwell last night, Monday, when he was ordered to stop by officers.
Despite "attempting to make off", he was chased by police and detained.
Police say "a quantity" of class A and B drugs were found inside his car and he was arrested for possession with intent to supply both classes.
He was also reportedly disqualified from driving.

A spokesperson for GMP Bolton said: "While on patrol this evening, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team stopped a vehicle in Halliwell.
"The driver, a 42-year-old male attempted to make off from the scene however was detained by officers after a short foot chase. Both the driver and the vehicle were searched under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act.
"A quantity of class A and class B drugs were found inside the vehicle. The driver was also disqualified and therefore uninsured to drive the vehicle.
"The vehicle was seized under Section 165a Road Traffic Act and the driver was arrested for possession with intent to supply class A and class B and disqualified driving. He remains in custody for questioning."
