A Bolton business that delivers education programmes on addiction and mental health has teamed up with Irish Freight Solutions to help promote their work.

Whysup was started seven years ago and works with schools, colleges and rehabilitation across the UK.

Both Whysup founders Mark Murray and Liam McBride had experienced addiction and as a result of their recovery they pledged to raise awareness on all things addiction and mental health.

Mark has now taken over the business as Liam has left to pursue other interests.

Whysup is based at the Paragon Business Park in Horwich where Irish Freight Solutions is also based.

As Mark explained: “They have been a client of ours for some time with Whysup providing education and wellbeing support to their team.”

Both organisations were conscious that Christmas and New Year can be a particularly difficult time for people with addictions and wanted to do something to raise public awareness.

So Whysup’s logos have been added to the signage on one of their large trailers.

James Wood, Director of Irish Freight Solutions stated: “We brought Mark and Whysup into the business because we have a lot of young staff and I think it’s important to bring anything that helps with health into the workplace.

“Mark and I discussed having a branded trailer to raise awareness and this is another way to get the message out there as well as social media.

"It’s good for businesses to support where we can and it’s good that we are all aware of helping keep staff healthy. It’s more of an investment in their mental wellbeing.”

Added Mark: “Those vehicles are going all over the country and up and down the motorways and the message about Whysup is going out to be reaching some new places.

“We have worked with IFS for some time. James and I wanted to do something a little different this Christmas and raise awareness on the important topics that we cover.

“From an initial conversation a few months ago, to now seeing it on the road, is fantastic. James has been a huge supporter of our work, so we are delighted our logos are side by side and keeping that conversation moving.”
