Police investigating an assault at Bolton Interchange want to speak to this this woman.

Officers say they were called to reports a member of the of Transport for Greater Manchester staff, a Travelsafe Support and Enforcement Officer, was struck to the head causing injury on Tuesday at 9pm.

No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are still ongoing.

Officers say they are keen to identify and speak to the woman pictured, as it is believed she can assist with the investigation.

Inspector Steve Griffin from the Transport Unit said: “Acts of unprovoked violence will never be tolerated.

“Staff and the public using the interchanges across Greater Manchester should feel they are safe places and that is why we are constantly patrolling key areas to offer reassurance but provide support when needed.

“In this case, a member of staff has received wounds that thankfully didn’t result in any serious injury afterwards but was going about trying to do their job and assist.
