Two men accused of fraud and driving while disqualified have been arrested on suspicion of failing to attend court.
They were arrested yesterday evening (November 26) in Halliwell and Great Lever.
One was accused of six fraud charges. And failed to attend court in Wrexham August 27 and Sheffield on November 18.
Both men were kept in police custody and are due to appear in court this morning (November 27).
A spokesperson for GMP Bolton said: “Last night, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have arrested two men who failed to attend court in relation to matters they had been charged with.
“The first man was arrested in the Halliwell area after he failed to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on the 09/09/24 in relation to charges of driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
“The second man was arrested in the Great Lever area after he failed to appear at Wrexham Magistrates’ Court on 27/08/24 in relation to five fraud charges. He was also wanted after he failed to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on 18/11/24 in relation to another fraud charge.
“They have both been remanded in police custody overnight and will appear at court this morning.
