This photo from 1968 records the moment a familiar sight for Bolton rail users would disappear forever.
The canopy outside Trinity Street station was being pulled down as part of the reconstruction of the town centre bridge. The canopy had been a feature of the station since 1904.
The main station building would later be demolished and rebuilt on its current site across the road.
