A Westhoughton play centre is offering a free hour of fun in exchange for items for its Christmas charity appeal supporting local needy families.
Party & Play Funhouse in Barrs Fold Close on the Wingates Industrial Estate is running a special day event on Thursday, December 5, from 10am to 6pm.
Anyone who donates new, unopened food or new toys of a minimum value of £3 to the company’s annual appeal to ensure local people in need have a decent Christmas can give their child a free hour’s fun at the well-known attraction.
All the donated items are given to a local food bank run by charity Westhoughton Assist Service.
As Party & Play Funhouse owner Catalina Sastre explained: “We’ve been a part of the Bolton community for nearly 18 years and we know how challenging the holiday season can be for some families.
“This event allows us to spread holiday cheer while encouraging others to give back to those who need it most.
“With the rise in living costs, food banks and charitable organisations are under greater pressure than ever before. Donations from the event will ensure that local families facing difficulties can enjoy a brighter, more joyful Christmas.”
Young guests of all ages are welcome to join in the festivities at the Westhoughton venue and experience the magic of the dynamic and safe play environment.
Its attractions go from thrilling slides and colourful climbing frames to toddler-friendly zones so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Added Catalina: “The charity event is designed to instill the values of kindness and generosity in children while offering families a chance to bond and create special memories during the holiday season.”
