A car was seized this weekend after police say its driver was found to have had no insurance.
The silver Citroen was stopped by officers in the Halliwell area on the evening of Saturday November 23.
Officers say the car was seized and the driver given a report.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team stopped to speak to the driver of this vehicle last night, Saturday 23rd November 23, in Halliwell.
“Enquiries established that the driver did not have any insurance to drive the vehicle.
“The vehicle was seized under S165a Road Traffic Act and the driver was given a Traffic Offence Report for driving without insurance.”
This comes amid long running concerns about crime on the roads in Bolton and further afield across Greater Manchester in recent months.
These have included cases of car theft, dangerous driving, driving without licences and driving without insurance.

Police have also reported recent cases of drink driving and drug driving.
Officers have urged anyone with any concerns about crime or anti-social behaviour on the roads or otherwise to get in touch by calling 101 or 999 in the event of an emergency.
Alternatively, witnesses can also call independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
