A “well established cannabis farm” with plants spreading across five rooms after a police house raid this weekend.

Officers reported today, Sunday November 24, that they had raided the house on Parkfield Avenue in Farnworth and found a huge number of plants.

They say they are now investigating to find out who may have been involved in setting up the farm and cultivating the plants.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the South Neighbourhood Team have executed a S23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address on Parkfield Avenue, Farnworth.

“A well-established cannabis farm was located within the address, with a number of plants across five rooms.

“Cannabis and equipment have been seized, disrupting the criminal network, and enquiries are ongoing to establish those involved.”

So far no arrests have been reported in connection with the raid.

But images supplied by officers at the scene show them inspecting what appear to be a huge number of plants filling the modestly sized Farnworth house.
