A woman was arrested last night on suspicion of carrying drugs and a lock knife.

Police stopped the 24-year-old woman alongside a man in the Halliwell area on the night of Friday November 22.

They say she was found to be in possession of Class A drugs and a lock knife and that they arrested her to take her in for further questioning.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Last night, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team were on patrol in the Halliwell area and detained a male and female for a stop search under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act.

“The 24-year-old female was found to be in possession of a Class A drug and a lock knife.

“She was therefore arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and possession of a bladed article in a public place and taken into police custody for questioning.”
