Police, town hall and Bolton Wanderers have come together on a winter’s night to give youngsters a chance play football.
The initiative was launched amid frosty and chilly conditions on Victoria Square just in front of town hall on the evening of Friday November 22.
There police officers were joined by young people from across the town to play football together and build stronger relationships.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Tonight local Police, Bolton Council and Bolton Wanderers arranged for local youths in Bolton town centre to take part in a number of different football games.
“The aim of the event was to offer the children an alternative to walking the streets as well as to build a stronger relationship with police and reduce the amount of anti-social behaviour ongoing in the town centre.”

Images supplied by police show the town hall lit up with an array of bright colours against the dark winter sky as officers and youngsters enjoy games of football below.
They have also taken part in indoor activities as well over the course of the evening.
Officers will hope that activities like these form lasting bonds with the young people of the town and help forge better relationships in future.
