A local man has raised more than £1,400 for a youth club by completing a 170km trek in the Himalayas.
Tim Bryant endured the 14-day Manaslu Circuit Trek, around the world's eighth-highest peak, to support the Bolton Lads and Girls Club (BLGC).
The 'seasoned adventurer' tackled hazardous trails and high altitudes of up to 16,000 feet, and overcame both 'physical and mental challenges', all to raise money for a cause he holds dear.
Mr Bryant said: "I'm passionate about supporting young people in Bolton, and the work BLGC does is life-changing.
"Knowing that my efforts could make a difference kept me going through every tough step of this trek."
This isn't the first time Mr Bryant has undertaken a challenge to help others.
Last year, he completed the 246km Cape Wrath Trail, often referred to as 'the UK's toughest hike.'
His latest venture, however, was driven by a 'personal determination with a heartfelt mission': to support BLGC in its efforts to provide essential services to children and young people in Bolton.
The funds raised will contribute to BLGC's various initiatives, including mental health services, bereavement counselling, mentoring, and family support.
BLGC chief executive Emma Hutchinson said: "Simply Wow!
"What a challenge.
"Tim's commitment and resilience are truly inspiring.
"His incredible fundraising efforts will have a lasting impact on young people in Bolton.
"We're so proud of him."
Mr Bryant's JustGiving page remains open for donations, with every contribution further aiding BLGC in their mission to create brighter futures for Bolton's young people.
