More than 200 singers will perform a candlelit concert at Manchester Cathedral in aid of Alzheimer's Society.
The Sing Space Musical Theatre Choirs from Greater Manchester and Accrington will perform at Manchester Cathedral on Sunday, December 8.
The event, called West End by Candlelight, will see singers perform songs from the West End.
This will be the second year the event is held and due to the success of last year, an extra performance has been added.
Residents can purchase tickets for the 2pm or 7.30pm performances.
Anthony Clegg of Together in Harmony and The Sing Space Musical Theatre Choirs said: "I am really looking forward to the event and after the incredible success of 2023, we're able to offer two performances in the hope we can share our show with more people and, most importantly, raise even more money for this year's chosen charity, Alzheimer's Society.
"It's a cause very close to so many of the choir members involved in the show who have witnessed first-hand the devastating effect this disease can have upon their loved ones, as well as those closest to them."
Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity, providing support and resources for those affected by dementia.
The charity relies on voluntary donations to continue their work and people can donate by visiting alzheimers.org.uk.
Rebecca Neill, regional fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society, said: "It’s wonderful that Together in Harmony, and the Sing Space Musical Theatre Choirs, are giving their time to support Alzheimer’s Society.
"Each hour people generously give to fundraise for us, every event they take part in, every pound they donate, they’re making a life-changing difference to people living with dementia.
"There are over 87,000 people living with dementia in North West England.
"But we simply can’t reach everyone without the continued support of our incredible fundraisers like Together in Harmony."
Tickets are priced between £16 and £20, and can be purchased online at the West End by Candlelight 2024 Eventbrite page or by emailing togetherinharmony@hotmail.com.
For those interested in joining the Sing Space Musical Theatre Choirs, a free taster session is being offered in January 2025, with no auditions or experience required.
