Bolton Council's bin collections are to be affected by a number of changes during the days around Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
All of the area's beige bins, burgundy bins, grey bins and green bins are to be affected according to an announcement by the authorities.
As usual, there are no bin collections of any bins on the bank holidays and, in addition, there are no bin collections of green bins between Friday, December 20 and Monday, January 6.
It comes after the closure of a consultation on charging for bin collections of green bins of which the outcome is unknown at the time of writing.
All of the information is in a table which is to be posted to residents in the coming weeks and which is to be posted on social media too.
Richard Silvester, Bolton Council's Executive Member for Environmental Services, said: "As in previous years, there will be some changes to bin collection days over Christmas.
"We know the festive season creates more household waste which is why we want to let residents know in advance of these changes.
"All households will receive a leaflet through their door in the coming weeks which includes these collection updates as well as some handy tips on recycling.
"I would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to put your bins at the edge of your property with the lid closed on your collection day and ensure vehicles are parked responsibly to allow our wagons to access your street."
Bolton Hospice is collecting Christmas Trees across the borough in at the turn of the year in return for a contribution to the hospice on Chorley New Road.
Alternatively Christmas Trees can go into the garden waste at home or at one of the area's recycling centres according to recycleforgreatermanchester.com.
