A woman accused of wounding a man has been released on bail, police have confirmed. 

Officers were called to reports of a "disturbance" at an address on Chelburn Place in Halliwell just before noon on Monday, November 21. 

A scene was in place throughout the day, with police taping off the crossroad junction of Oxford Grove and Waldeck Street, near to where they said the disturbance took place. 

GMP said that they arrested a woman in her 30s on suspicion of Section 18 assault after a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with injuries that are not described as life-changing or life-threatening. 

Now, police have confirmed that the woman has been bailed.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said at the time: "At around 11.50am on Monday, November 18, we were called to reports of a disturbance at an address on Chelburn Place, Bolton. 

"A man in his 40s has been taken to hospital with injuries that are not described as life-changing or life-threatening, he remains there for treatment.

"A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault. Enquiries are ongoing.

"We are appealing to anyone with information or who witnessed this incident, or may have dashcam/CCTV footage, is asked to contact Bolton CID on 101 quoting log number 1196 of 18/11/2024.

"Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
