It's that time of year again!

Each year, The Bolton News holds its Education Awards, where we recognise the best and brightest of schools, nurseries and colleges across the borough.

On November 13, our team toured around the town to present the trophies for the Bolton News Education Awards 2024, in association with Bolton Council.

It was a day full of tears, cheers and laughter as awards including School of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Lifetime Achievement and more were handed out.

From shocked recipients to triumphant assemblies, the awards went down a storm for all involved.

Commercial Partnership and Events Director at The Bolton News, Mark Fry, said: “I would like to pass on my thanks to everyone who nominated a school or individual for an award and all the schools for welcoming The Bolton News and Geraldine Whitehead, Assistant Director for Inclusive Education and Learning at Bolton Council, our event sponsor to present the awards.

“It was an unforgettable, inspiring day. I would like to congratulate all the winners and highly commended this year and look forward to next year’s awards.”
