A borough has been charged after a van was stopped by police and suspected drugs were found inside.
Officers on King Street, St Helens, spotted a white Ford Transit at 4.40pm on Monday, November 11, and detained the driver suspecting him of committing driving offences.
While searching the van, 4kg of white powder was found and the powder and the van were taken for further forensic examination.
Daniel John Cambridge, 40, of Longworth Road, Horwich, was subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply Class B controlled drugs (ketamine and cannabis), using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, using a handheld mobile phone while driving a motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence
Cambridge was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Magistrates Court on Wednesday, November 13.
He was further remanded into custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday, December 11.
