The opening night at a much-loved Indian restaurant's new site has gone down a storm.
One of the area's most popular curry haunts, Lagan is celebrating the new-look restaurant with new additions to the menu, and punters couldn't have been more pleased.
Manager, Raj Das, said: "It's opening night, so I'm very excited but also a little apprehensive as it's a new place.
"We've just been getting around to doing the final tweaks and it's been lovely.
"A lot of people who have shown up are customers we had when we were in Ladybridge so it's fantastic to see some of them again as, you can imagine."
Raj hopes customers will try some of the new dishes and thinks the garlic onion-based lesuni murg, and the chicken patiwala, will satisfy people's taste buds.
"We want to make a good impression on Horwich so that people come to try the food, we've been working on improving the older dishes as well," Raj added.
Sheila and Peter Williams live just around the corner from the new place.
Sheila said: "It's absolutely amazing here, we love it already!
"It's in an ideal location for us and we heard good reviews about the old place in Ladybridge and it's certainly lived up to its reputation.
"I've even got to sit next to the Mayor."
Mayor, Cllr Andy Morgan said he used to go to the old restaurant quite a bit as it was local and was over the moon with his curry in Horwich.
Charles, Keith, David and Belle were also checking out the chow, Keith and David have been having a curry every Monday since Lagan first opened approximately 20 years ago.
Keith joked: "It's awful here, hence why I've been coming to them every week for years."
Charles added: "Keith and David absolutely love it, you can tell!"
Lagan Restaurant announced in February this year that it was to move buildings.
The former site is to make way for a prayer room after plans were approved in July.
Their new site in Horwich is formerly Nick's Restaurant and has two floors to dine on.
