Walking around the city centre among the Christmas decorations, lights and stalls can get a bit chilly so it’s no wonder a hot chocolate sounds appealing but how much do they cost?
According to I Love Manchester, the hot beverage will set you back £5 and comes with whipped cream on top.
You can make it an alcoholic hot chocolate for £7 and choose from “Baileys, brandy, rum and other liquor shots”.
If hot alcoholic drinks are your thing, you can opt for a mulled wine. Gluhwein will cost between £5.50 and £6 at this year’s Christmas markets.

You’ll need to pay a £3 deposit which you can get back if you take your mug back to the stall. Alternatively, you can keep it and not receive £3 back.
I Love Manchester explained that more mulled wine is available at The Mill Exchange at Exchange Square which will set you back £6.50 if you choose a small or £8 if you’d like a large.
Flavours include “Brandy and Minced pie, Blackberry and Apple, Strawberry & Amaretto, Orange and Passionfruit and Gin and Cherry”.
The website added: “There’s also the option to add shots of other liquors to make it an even boozier gluhwein for £8.
“Fancy a mulled cider? That will set you back about £6. Spiced Rum Punch comes to about £8.50 – £9.”
If you’re looking for a cold drink, you can choose gin from several vendors, costing you around £10 for a gin and tonic.
