A Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who has a soft spot for Accrington Stanley, was treated to a tour around the Wham Stadium.
Robert Plant, former lead vocalist in the legendary 70s rock band Led Zeppelin, was spotted by supporter liaison officer Robert Houseman in the club shop.
Despite being a fan of Wolverhampton Wanderers, the musician admitted that he had always liked the club and stopped off while on his way to Harrogate where he was working.
Mr Houseman said: “As soon as he walked into the shop, I recognised that this charismatic guy was an entertainer, but I couldn’t place his face.
“He told me he was a Wolves fan but had always had a soft spot for Accrington Stanley and had always wanted to visit the club.
“He was on his way to Harrogate where he was working. Offering him a quick look around the stadium and a short history of the club.
“He took a few pictures and as we left, I asked him about his line of work and who he was.
“That is when I realised, I had just spent 20 minutes with Robert Plant, the lead singer of Led Zeppelin. He posed for a couple of photos, leaving with his bag of Stanley souvenirs.”

Famed for songs including Stairway to Heaven and Whole Lotta Love, Led Zeppelin rose to fame in the 1970s and became a household name.
Since splitting in 1980, the band performed only a handful of concerts including at Live Aid in 1985 accompanied by Genesis drummer Phil Collins.
Plant pursued a solo career with songs including Big Log and In the Mood, turning down opportunities to reunite with his former bandmates.
Since 2019 his newest project Saving Grace, a low-key acoustic band, has toured the UK.
