School children still have the chance to design a newly elected Bolton MP’s Christmas cards and win a “Parliamentary Bear.”

Kirith Entwistle, who was elected to represent Bolton North East in the general election earlier this year, launched the competition with The Bolton News towards the end of October.

Primary school pupils in the area now have another week to get their entries in before a winner is chosen.

Ms Entwistle said: “One lucky winner will have their entry picture on the front of my official Christmas card and will also win a Parliamentary Bear.

“You must be at a primary school in my constituency to enter.

“My contact details and where to send entries have already been communicated to all primary schools in the area.

“I can’t wait to see all of your brilliant entries!”

Ms Entwistle has already been in touch with primary school across the Bolton North East area about the competition.

Entries will need to be on an A5 sheet of paper and to be designed with crayons, pencils or paint.

She has asked that to help look after the environment, entries are not made with glitter and that 3D materials like cotton wool will not be able to be printed.

A winner will be announced not long after the deadline on Thursday, November 7.
