Several police cars appear to have been involved in a road incident late at night over the weekend.
Residents around Thornbank Street, just off Deane Road in Deane reported seeing a large police presence at around 11pm on the evening of Sunday October 27.
Video footage from the scene appears to show some of the police cars backed up against each other and needing to be transported away after seemingly having been damaged.
Cllr Ayyub Patel, of Rumworth, said: “The videos have come from a couple of residents around there and obviously we know that a lot of people around the Thornbank Estate have concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour.
“So, there’s obviously going to be a lot of concerns from residents about why that police presence was there.
“And at the end of the day its public money and so if they have been damaged there’s going to be some expense in repairing them.”

One of the police cars is later seen appearing to drive into a vehicle transporter.
